Welcome to the Get Out More Tour

Get Out More is a one-of-a kind mobile tour that brings the pages of Backpacker to life for audiences nationwide. From April to December, Backpacker’s experienced Get Out More road team will travel the country to educate consumers about the skills and equipment they need to Get Out More!

Tour Features:

• In-depth retail workshops
• Experiential outdoor excursions
• Participation in national and regional festivals

Retail Events

The 2013 Get Out More Tour will stop at more than 60 outdoor specialty retailers to deliver the best tips from the editors of Backpacker and provide real-life outdoor experiences. At each Tour stop, the all-star Get Out More road team hosts an interactive 75-minute seminar where the audience can:

• Check-out the latest in outdoor gear and apparel
• Learn new skills from the experts at Backpacker
• Enjoy chances to win great outdoor prizes

Outdoor Excursions

The Get Out More Team also hosts experiential outdoor excursions where audiences have the opportunity to learn from the experts out in the field. These excursions can be as simple as destination hikes or as involved as overnight camping trips. While in the great outdoors, the Get Out More Team teaches practical skills and techniques related to their in-store presentations.

Outdoor Festivals

The Get Out More Tour reaches broad, new audiences at large festivals and events across the nation. At each festival, the Get Out More Team is on-site to provide product demos, skills clinics and inspiration to aspiring and active outdoor enthusiasts.
